Rick CohenA key piece of PBP’s corporate social responsibility is our dedication to improving human health by supporting cutting-edge research.  We focused on the potential for stem cell research more than a decade ago, and have remained committed to this field.  We work with Dr. Rick Cohen, the Director of the Stem Cell Training Course at the Biomedical Engineering Department of Rutgers University.

Dr. Cohen has established a renowned stem cell training program for collaborative scientists and has been instrumental in deriving New Jersey’s first human embryonic stem cell lines.

In addition, Dr. Cohen’s team runs a 5-day intensive, hands-on Pluripotent Stem Cell Training Course, which covers feeder free technology, as well as several specific applications, including cellular reprogramming and neural differentiation.  His program deals with a wide assortment of human cell lines from placenta, bone marrow, and brain. Progressive Business Publications is proud to be the original and continuing sponsor of this program, which has now trained more than 100 scientists from across the globe.

Dr. Cohen’s reputation as a premier research and trainer continues to grow internationally.  Dr. Cohen is sharing his expertise across the globe, including introducing the stem cell technology to a new group in Saudi Arabia.

We recognize that important breakthroughs in improving the human condition come from dedicated research, and are hopeful our contribution will make a difference.
